Définition :
Sclérose artériolaire compliquée de nécrose et d'atteinte glomérulaire, associée à une hypertension maligne; elle aboutit rapidement à l'urémie.

An uncommon form of arteriolar nephrosclerosis ((, i.e.,)) hardening of the kidney, affecting all the vessels of the body, especially the small arteries and arterioles of the kidneys, and frequently associated with malignant hypertension and hyperplastic arteriosclerosis: subcapsular petechiae are seen, and necrosis in the walls of scattered afferent glomerular arterioles. The urine contains red blood cells and casts, and uremia is a common termination.
Note :
It may occur in the absence of previous history of hypertension or may be surimposed on benign hypertension or primary renal disease (...).
